There is no action for the Council to take. The Deputy City Clerk will swear-in the Newly Elected Officials upon certification of the Election Results.

BACKGROUND:
A General Municipal Election was held in the City of Cathedral City on November 8, 2016. The City Council is considering the approval of a Resolution declaring the results of the November 8, 2016 Election as certified by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.
DISCUSSION:
Upon approval of the Resolution declaring the results of the November 8, 2016 Election, the City Council is authorizing the Deputy City Clerk to swear-in the newly elected officials.
