Recommendation                     

Staff recommends the City Council approve the Fire Department application for $25,000 from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians to purchase Electronic Patient Care Reporting Tablets

BACKGROUND:

The Fire Department needs to comply with the Riverside County Emergency Medical Service Agency mandate to convert emergency incident patient records to an electronic format. In order to meet the county requirement, eight computer tablets are necessary to provide emergency medical technicians and paramedics the mobile hardware to enter the reports.

 

 

DISCUSSION:

The Fire Department is requesting the funding of the mobile computer tablets through the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians emergency services annual donation of $25,000.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact, as the donation does not require a match amount
