BACKGROUND:
Dynamic Dance & Fitness (DDF) Cathedral City held a Zumba Fitness demonstration during the Glo Run and Health Fair in early May and received a tremendous amount of interest.
"High Fitness" is a new aerobic style exercise/dance format for all ages and all levels. DDF is the only authorized studio in California that teaches "High Fitness" and they would like to demonstrate to residents of Cathedral City and beyond how to get excited about this new exercise and promote good health. They plan to bring in the Co-Founders of High Fitness, Amber Zenith and Emily Nelson, to the event.
DISCUSSION:
Promoting exercise and healthy living is essential for all residents. DDF's would like to show the community this new exciting exercise/dance inside the Paseo and Civic Center Plaza on Saturday, July 18th between 10 am and 11 am. They have asked the City to sponsor the event. The instructors are all CPR certified and they have already provided a Certificate of Insurance listing the City as an additional insured. The event is free to all attendees. DDF will have fans and free bottled water available.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is only a nominal fiscal impact to the City.
