Recommendation
Staff recommends the City Council award the bid to Mariposa Landscapes, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance services and authorize the City Manager to prepare a contract consistent with the bid terms provided in the staff report.

BACKGROUND:
At the August 12, 2015 City Council meeting, staff was authorized to distribute a Request for Proposals for Landscape Maintenance services.
In November 2015, staff sent out a Public Notice for Landscape Maintenance Project PW-MFRP-2015-1. Proposals were received on December 7, 2015 from the following: Mariposa Landscapes Inc., Conserve LandCare, Kirkpatrick Landscaping Services Inc., and Palm Springs Tree Services and Maintenance.


DISCUSSION:
All submitted Proposals were rated based on review and evaluation by a three (3) member staff selection panel. Mariposa Landscapes Inc. received the highest score by the three member panel. Mariposa Landscapes Inc. has performed landscape services for the City of Rancho Mirage and Coachella and has current contracts with the City of Palm Desert and Rancho Cucamonga.
Staff is recommending that the City execute an agreement with Mariposa Landscapes Inc. for landscape services for the following areas: Cathedral City Medians (East Palm Canyon, Ramon Rd, Date Palm Rd, Dinah Shore Rd), LLD 1 Vista Del Ray, LLD 2 La Paloma, LLD 5 Tapestry, LLD 15 Landau Homes, LLD 16B Century Parkway, LLD 18 Landau Manor, LLD 19 Alicante, LLD 20 Cimarron and LLD 21 Santoro Estates.
