RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Staff recommends the City Council make appointments to the Planning Commission and the Parks and Community Events Commission to fill unexpired terms and to the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission if any interested and eligible candidates are identified.

BACKGROUND:
The Planning Commission currently has two vacancies, one due to the resignation of Commissioner Robin Johnson and a second due to the passing of Commissioner William Baker. The Parks and Community Events Commission has one vacancy due to the resignation of Commissioner Julie Haltman. Additionally there are five vacant seats on the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission.
DISCUSSION:
The current vacancies on the City Boards and Commissions were all posted as required by law and applications were accepted according to the published notices. Six applications were received for the Planning Commission, one application was received for the Parks and Community Events Commission and no applications were received for the Mobile Home Fair Practices Commission. Council held interviews during study session on January 13, 2016.
Based on the interviews conducted the following appointments are being made:
Planning Commission:
