BACKGROUND:
Council reviewed the City Council Policy Manual in study session on May 9, 2018 and subsequently adopted the Policy Manual by Resolution on May 23, 2018. The attached section on Rules of Decorum for Members of the Public at Public Meetings is part of the adopted Policy Manual. MPT Pettis requested a discussion item to allow Council to further discuss the topic.
DISCUSSION:
The attached policy has been adopted by Council, so no further action is required unless Council wishes to make revisions. The policy section includes the following topics:
2.03.010 Purpose.
2.03.020 Public Meeting Decorum.
2.03.030 Addressing the Council and Committees.
2.03.040 Public Presentations at Meetings.
2.03.050 Values of Respect.
2.03.060 Enforcement of Order.
