BACKGROUND:
The City of Grand Terrace is developing a Veterans Wall of Freedom at their Veterans Freedom Park. The wall will be completed and dedicated on November 11, 2018 as part of the City’s 40th Anniversary celebration. Grand Terrace has invited all cities in the region to nominate a veteran to be honored on the wall. One plague will be provided free to each City. If more than one is desired there is a cost.
DISCUSSION:
Mayor Henry requested a study session discussion so that Councilmembers can suggest and come to an agreement on a name to submit as Cathedral City’s name on the wall. A letter from the Grand Terrace City Council describing the wall is attached.
FISCAL IMPACT:
One plaque on the wall is complimentary.
