Staff recommends the City Council approve the amended employment contract with the City Manager.

BACKGROUND:
During the last two Council meetings the City Council conducted a performance evaluation regarding the City Manager. As a result, an amendment to the employment contract is proposed.
DISCUSSION:
The existing contract with the City Manager was last amended two years ago on February 24, 2016. No revision was made in 2017. The proposed amendment provides for a salary increase of 3% effective upon execution and an increase in the City contribution to the employee's deferred compensation account.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The 3% salary increase will cost $6,354.18 annually. The increase to the deferred compensation account will cost $10,000 annually.
