RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends the City Council make an appointment to the Architectural Review Committee with a term continuing to June 30, 2020.

BACKGROUND:
One vacancy currently exists on the Architectural Review Committee due to the resignation of Mitchell King.
DISCUSSION:
The vacancy on the Architectural Review Committee was posted as required by Government Code 54974 and applications were accepted through Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the end of the business day. A total of 1 application was received from William Schroeder. An interview was conducted during Study Session on January 10, 2018.
It is staff’s recommendation to appoint Mr. Schroeder to the Architectural Review Committee with a term continuing to June 30, 2020, if that is the desire of the Council based on the interview conducted or provide direction to staff on how to proceed with filling the vacancy.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact results from making appointments to the Commissions.
