RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends that the City Council interview the applicant, William Schroeder, that submitted an application for possible appointment to fill the vacant seat on the Architectural Review Committee.
Body
BACKGROUND:
On December 13, 2017, the City Council accepted the resignation of Mitchell King from the Architectural Review Committee.
Pursuant to the California Government Code Section 54974, a Notice of Unscheduled Vacancy on the Architectural Review Committee was posted in the three designated posting locations as well as the City's Website and Face Book.
The unexpired term will continue through June 30, 2020.
DISCUSSION:
The deadline to submit applications for the vacant seat on the Architectural Review Committee was December 28, 2017. Staff received one application from Mr. William Schroeder. Staff recommends that the City Council interview Mr. Schroeder during the Study Session Meeting for possible appointment to the Architectural Review Committee.
An item has also been placed on the Regular Meeting Agenda for the consideration of an appointment, should it be the desire of the Council to appoint Mr. Schroeder to fill the vacant seat.
