Chris Parman will present to the Council an update on the new .gov website and new video recording studio.

BACKGROUND:
For more than a year, the City has been working to update the www.CathedralCity.gov <http://www.CathedralCity.gov> website as the previous format was dated and cumbersome to add, change, or search for items. City staff has been working with Vision Internet to design a new website that is user friendly, consumer friendly, mobile device compatible, as well as one that offers additional methods and resources to improve the interaction with our residents and visitors alike.
Additionally, based on the Council's goal setting meeting in January 2017, the City has set-up a new video recording studio to expand our communication outreach in a more mobile-video friendly format.
DISCUSSION:
Chris Parman will update the City Council on the improvements made to www.CathedralCity.gov <http://www.CathedralCity.gov> and future plans to expand programming and communications for our community.

This is an informational presentation and has no fiscal impact.
