RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Staff recommends the City Council make an appointment to the Parks and Community Events Commission to fill an unexpired term continuing through June 30, 2018.
Body
BACKGROUND:
The Parks and Community Events Commission currently has one vacancy due to the resignation of Commissioner Arianna Menon.
DISCUSSION:
The vacancy on the Parks and Community Events Commission was posted as required by Government Code and applications were accepted through June 16, 2016, at the end of the business day. Five applications were received. Council conducted interviews during study session on June 29, 2016.
Based on the interviews conducted the City Council is appointing the following:
Parks and Community Events Commission:

FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact results from making appointments to the Commissions.
