BACKGROUND:
On March 23, 2016 the City Council approved SUP #16-005 for ReCreation Management of Rancho Mirage to hold a large private party for their client, a major international firm, on Friday, April 15, 2016, starting at 10 pm to Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 4 am at the former Sam's Club located at 35780 Date Palm Drive.
DISCUSSION:
The Private Party hosted its VIPs, friends of the house, influencers and top clients during an evening musical experience. The event was by invitation only and not public facing. The party consisted of DJs, musical performers, stage, lounge décor, food truck and beverages for guests. ReCreation was responsible for handling all aspects of the event.
Ryan McKay of ReCreation Management will provide a re-cap of the event to the City Council including the economic impact that the event had on the City as well as the surrounding neighborhoods.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
