Body
BACKGROUND:
The City Council adopted Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 16-001 (ZOA 16-001) amending Chapters 9.08, 9.30, 9.36, 9.40, 9.42, and 9.108 of the Zoning Ordinance related to medical cannabis on February 24, 2016. The City Council has also adopted two related ordinances establishing medical cannabis business licensing requirements in Chapter 5.88 of the Code. The second ordinance added regulations pertaining to manufacturing and transportation of medical cannabis.
The next step in fulling implementing a regulatory structure to deal with cannabis businesses is this omnibus ordinance. The ordinance was introduced and received first reading on April 27, 2016.
