Appoint Mayor Stanley E. Henry as the Voting Delegate for the Southern California Association of Governments General Assembly Meeting to be held on May 5, 2016.

BACKGROUND:
The 2016 Regional Conference & General Assembly for Southern California Association of Governments will be held May 5-6, 2016 in La Quinta. SCAG is requiring that the City Council take formal action to appoint a voting delegate for the General Assembly Meeting, which will be held on May 5, 2016.
DISCUSSION:
Staff recommends that the Council appoint Mayor Stanley E. Henry as the voting delegate for the General Assembly Meeting, which will be held on May 5, 2016, and direct staff to notify SCAG of this delegation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact with this action.
