BACKGROUND:
The City Council approved the position of Communications / Events Manager in 2014 to create, implement and manage Special Events produced by the City of Cathedral City as well as events produced by a third party.
DISCUSSION:
Chris Parman, Communications / Events Manager will provide a recap of the recent Taste of Jalisco festival, offer an update on the remaining Winter / Spring 2016 Events, and propose a budget expenditure for the 2016-17 FY Special Events Budget.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The approved City Budget allocates $118,000 for City events or City sponsored events.
