Staff recommends the City Council discuss and provide direction to staff.

BACKGROUND:
The budget for the current biennium provides $35,000 each year in on-going funding to support the programs of the Cathedral City Boys and Girls Club.
DISCUSSION:
Staff has received a request from the Boys and Girls Club for an additional grant of $10,000 to support the Club's Education Enrichment Program. The request letter and proposal are attached.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funds for the additional grant would have to come from reserves through a budget amendment for both the current year (FY 15-16) and the second year of the biennium (FY 16-17) as all on-going revenue has been allocated. Funding beyond that would have to be considered as part of the budget development for the next biennial budget.
