RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
The City Attorney’s office recommends that the City Council hear an appeal of the decision of the Planning Commission denying the Dispensary Conditional Use Permit application and affirm the findings and decision of the Planning Commission.
Body
BACKGROUND:
The appeal on this matter was initially set for hearing on July 22, 2015. At that meeting, the President of King Blaise Cooperative, Brian Scott Nicholson, appeared and orally challenged a number of the findings of the Police Department relating to the applicant’s background check. The City Council ordered the matter continued to its next meeting, and directed the Police Department to conduct additional inquiries and report back.
The Police Department is following up on each of the issues raised by Mr. Nicholson and the City Council, and will report back on each of those matters orally to the City Council during the meeting.
