BACKGROUND:
The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission was created by Chapter 2.19 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code. Included in the "Functions, powers and duties" of the Commission is to make recommendations to the City Council concerning plans for acquisition, development, maintenance, restoration, exhibition and display of public art on public property and advise the City Council of long range projects and programs.
DISCUSSION:
The Cathedral City Public Arts Commission Chairman, Jim Cox will give an update presentation to the City Council concerning recent accomplishments, upcoming projects and possible future sculpture and art locations.
