RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt an Ordinance repealing, in its entirety, Ordinance Nos. 518, 523 and 554 and amend Title 5, by repealing in its entirety, Chapter 5.11 and adding a new Chapter 5.11 (Cable Vision Systems) of Title 5 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code to be aligned with the State Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act of 2006 (DIVCA).

Therefore, the City's ordinance, Title 5, needs to be amended and chapter 5.11 repealed and a new Chapter 5.11 adopted to be compliant with state law.
