Body

BACKGROUND:
CCBC is the largest LGBT resort hotel in Southern California that hosts on-site special events for its guests, primarily on weekends.  The special events help fill the resort hotel to full occupancy.  The resort collects and pays into the City's Transient Occupancy Tax fund.  The hotel is surrounded by planned community commercial and downtown residential neighborhood zones.  However, CCBC is the only establishment on Gay Resort Drive.

DISCUSSION:
This spring, CCBC would like to hold several special events that include amplified music on Saturday evening of March 14 through 1:00 am on March 15, 2015 then again on Saturday evening on May 2 to 1:00 a.m. on May 3, 2015.  CCBC does not sell alcohol.  The hotel will be responsible for the $300 application fee.  The events occur on private property.

FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to the City.
