Staff recommends that the City Council approve second reading and adopt, reading by title only, an ordinance amending the Official Zoning Map, to reflect Change of Zone No. 14-001

BACKGROUND:
On December 10, 2014, the City Council unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance adopting the Change of Zone, amending the Official Zoning Map, and a Resolution approving the General Plan Amendment. A second reading of the ordinance by City Council is required by law. The effective date of the ordinance occurs 30 days after approval of the second reading.
DISCUSSION:
Resolution 2014-52, adopted by the City Council on December 10, 2014, amends the General Plan from RL (Low Density Residential) to RM (Medium Density Residential) and approval of the second reading of the Ordinance for the Change of Zone (CZ 14-001) will amend the Official Zoning Map from R1 (Single Family Residential) to R2 (Multiple Family Residential) for the subject parcels
