RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council consider an appointment to fill the unexpired term on the Planning Commission with a term expiring on June 30, 2017.
Body
BACKGROUND:
A vacancy currently exists on the Planning Commission. This unexpired term will continue until June 30, 2017. Eight applications for the Planning Commission were received in the City Clerk's Department for consideration. Interviews with all applicants were conducted earlier on January 12, 2015 during Study Session.
DISCUSSION:
If, after conducting the interviews, it is the desire of the City Council to appoint one of individuals to fill the unexpired term continuing to June 30, 2017, the City Council may do so at this time.
