RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council select a Council Member to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for a two-year term.

BACKGROUND:
Traditionally the City Council will select a Mayor Pro Tem to serve a two-year term after each election.
DISCUSSION:
According to the City Council Policy Manual, the Mayor Pro Tem will serve in the capacity of Mayor during their absence or disability.
