Recommendation
There is no action for the Council to take. Per the Elections Code, the City Clerk shall swear-in the Newly Elected Officials upon certification of the Election Results.

BACKGROUND:
A General Municipal Election was held in the City of Cathedral City on November 4, 2014. The City Council is considering the approval of a Resolution declaring the results of the November 4, 2014 Election as certified by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.
DISCUSSION:
Upon approval of the Resolution declaring the results of the November 4, 2014 Election, the City Council is authorizing the City Clerk to swear-in the newly elected officials.
